Medical Director / Founder

Dr. Moghadam is the Medical Director and founder of the Austin Fertility Institute. He is an experienced reproductive medicine specialist, with board certification in both obstetrics/gynecology and reproductive endocrinology/infertility. Dr. Moghadam grew up in the Chicago area, and obtained his undergraduate degree from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, IL. Upon graduation from the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA, he returned to the Midwest, completing his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Indiana University. He then obtained accredited subspecialty fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Cincinnati.

Despite a diversity of activities and interests, Dr. Moghadam derives his greatest satisfaction from applying his background and experience to the compassionate care of his patients. He is an avid sports enthusiast, tennis player, and enjoys the Austin music scene.  He and his wife Tammy have been married since 1995 and have four sons.

Amy brings with her more than two decades of practical RN experience. Graduating from Blinn College of Nursing, Amy has held positions in neonatal intensive care, labor and delivery, ambulatory surgery centers in both pre and post operational procedures, circulating and clinical office experience. Amy is a native Texan, living in Austin for over forty years.

Family is very important to Amy. She stays busy with her husband, and two young boys through her involvement with church, school, sports, and Boy Scouts. She also enjoys spending time relaxing with her friends and neighbors.

Katelyn earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business at Texas A&M University in 2019. She continued her education with Texas A&M and graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After starting her nursing career with St. David's North Austin Medical Center in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Katelyn joined the AFI team in 2023.  In her spare time, Katelyn enjoys helping her sister at a small-town boutique and spending time with her husband and family.

Office Manager

Natasia has not only worked as a medic and licensed EMT in the Air Force Reserves, but also has more than half a decade of experience as a lead medical assistant.  Her experience and versatile clinical/organizational skills have made her a great asset to the AFI team since 2021.  With her roots in a military family, she possesses a strong background in serving others.  Although she is not an Austin native, she enjoys spending time with her family, baking, traveling, and music.

Medical Assistant

Alex graduated from The College of Health Care Professionals as a medical assistant in 2020.  She has worked in urgent care and other care settings, joining the AFI team in 2021.  She is a skilled phlebotomist and enjoys working closely with patients in all aspects of clinical care.  In her free time, she likes spontaneous experiences, particularly road trips.

Medical Assistant

Neymi graduated from The College of Healht Care Professions in 2017 with her medical assistant certification.  She spent five years working for a pain specialty practice before transitioning to the women's health field, joining AFI in 2023.   She is bilingual in English and Spanish and skilled in phlebotomy.  Neymi enjoys travel and spending her free time with family and friends.

Billing Manager

Mary graduated Magna Cum Laude with Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a Major in Finance from Sam Houston State University in 2008. While perusing her degree she worked in the medical field as a medical coder and biller. Shortly after graduation Mary started her first position with a fertility practice. She has worked from the front desk, to back office, to management and was even a patient for a time. Mary currently serves a remote billing consultant for Austin Fertility Institute; she has worked for the practice in both managerial and consulting roles since 2017.
